Lyndhurst Mansion in Tarrytown, New York, each April hosts dozens of florists - some local, some from afar-  to design dedicated rooms throughout the Gilded Era mansion. The property was positively flanked in floral garb, with artifacts and decor free-flowing throughout the Gothic revival mansion playing model to the creative minds of 20 established floral designers.

My name may not be Ms. Brook, but I took a step back in time to a Gilded Age spring in this 19th century summer estate owned by prominent New York family the Goulds. Fun facts: In 1880, Jay Gould could sail his yacht down the Hudson River to the island of Manhattan, while Helen Gould had her butlers’ uniforms flown in from France.
